My toes have been frozen since approximately mid-October, and to remedy that, I'm doing a few things:
- Avoiding dark nail colors and instead favoring colors with names like "Pool Party." It can't hurt, and it feels very cheery! Please don't judge me. You know I have a nail polish obsession. My mom suggested I give up painting my nails for Lent, but that would be extreme.
- I'm back to drinking smoothies for breakfast. They're my go-to in the summer months, so I'm feeling a little more July than March when I whip up these pool-side wonders at 7 AM.
- The shamrock in my window is very perky each morning, and while it might make me the equivalent of a 70-year-old grandma to take the time to notice and tell it good morning, it makes me happy to see something green coming back to life and reaching for the morning sun each day.
- I'm watching all the beach episodes of Friends. You guys, I love Friends. I own all 10 seasons, and I don't think this has ever come up here! I watch them daily, and seeing Rachel convince Bonnie to shave her head at the beach never gets old.
If you're thinking I need more hobbies, you're probably right. Instead, you should focus on the sun in that picture, too. It's very warming!
