With that in mind, I love few things more than a country concert, but I have few friends willing to join in! However, one of my best friends is also a country music lover, and he caught wind that Rascal Flatts would be in town. I've seen them in concert before, but it wasn't the best concert I'd ever been to, so chances are I tuned this out when they were talking about it all week on the radio. It's not that it was a bad concert, I've just seen more entertaining bands. I'm not a girl to turn down a chance for a night of boots, country music, and Miller Lite, though, so we tracked down tickets last-minute yesterday.
Possibly the best part of this was that Sawyer Brown was opening! I have to admit that for a second I couldn't connect a name to a sound, but as soon as I googled them, my childhood was suddenly playing on my computer! I had a flash-back of riding to school in my sister's two-door blue Oldsmobile in 1994 as they sang "Some Girls Do" last night! Also topping off this concert experience were the cheesy graphics on the screen showing red, white, and blue hearts for a solid ten minutes. I tried to get a picture, but photography is something I need to work on! Oh, and you didn't think this was just called Mereica for fun, did you? While I'm not a trash-talking 'Merican, I'm a sucker for a little patriotism, and that's probably a result of my country upbringing, too. As soon as the hearts sprang up, Kris informed me I would need to blog about this one! Needless to say, a fun time was had by all, and I was so glad I went ahead with my random dress purchase a few weeks ago :)
