After some research and a sale on ribs, I took to my kitchen and have been devouring these since. What I loved about this, aside from flavor, were the quick steps it took to have this weeknight meal ready. Paired with some roasted veggies, I've been loving these all week, and I wanted to share the recipe before I forgot what I'd done!
Spicy Ribs Recipe:
Seasoned salt, garlic powder, black pepper (for seasoning)
1 C. favorite BBQ sauce (I went with Kraft original...I like the thickness)
2 T. brown sugar
1 T. garlic powder
1 T. chili powder
1 tsp. seasoned salt
1 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
Season ribs with seasoned salt, garlic powder & black pepper; place them in a stock pot, and add just enough water to cover them. Bring these to a boil, and boil until tender (about 15 minutes).
Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 325 degrees, and prepare the rub. Once ribs are boiled, drain off the water, and dip each rib in the rub to coat. Place back in stock pot or 9x13 baking dish. Pour remaining rub over the ribs & top with BBQ sauce. Cover your pan with foil & bake an hour to an hour-and-a-half. Remove from oven & enjoy!
