I've found I love drinking smoothies for breakfast, though, but my smoothie-making days had dwindled lately. My trusty knockoff Magic Bullet died on me a few months ago, and I've heard this is common with any version of this. However, they make whipping up smoothies so easy, and I was missing it tremendously.
My lovely sisters gave me a new Magic Bullet for my birthday this weekend, though, and I couldn't wait to jump right back into smoothie-making magic! I've found the secret to smoothies is using frozen fruit instead of ice...trust me on this. I actually wound up with broken blades in a smoothie once after ice broke them, and I'll never try that again! Luckily I noticed before I took a drink.
What's your favorite quick breakfast?
1 C. milk (you can use almond milk for fewer calories, but I'm not a fan)
1/3 C. vanilla yogurt (I love Activia for its probiotics and perfect smoothie size!)
1 T. honey
Add to a Magic Bullet in that order so the milk softens the berries a bit as you prep. Whip it up! This can also be done with a hand-blender if you don't have a Magic Bullet. Enjoy!
